Touching true stories about the 3/11 tsunami

I heard about the 2011 TÅhoku earthquake and tsunami through the news, but I never read any firsthand accounts from those who experienced it until I bought this book.
This book is a collection of articles from the Otsuchi Mirai Shimbun ("Otsuchi Future Times") and is divided into two parts. The first part, called Survivors, contains 11 testimonies from tsunami survivors, those who actually experienced the earthquake and tsunami. The second part, called Hope, contains 10 stories about people who are from Otsuchi and how they are moving on with their lives in the wake of these tragic events.
I really liked this book. It's short and easy to read. If you want to read firsthand accounts about the 3/11 tsunami, definitely buy it!

Must Read for everyone

I wish I could read this broker I went over to Otsuchi area... I was stunned how slow all the recovery is. Iwate needs more attention, and I hope this book will appeal to the right people who can help people of Otsushi.
