Excellent Resource for Special and General Educators

I am an Assistant Professor in the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia, I teach courses that prepare undergraduate and graduate students to become special and general educators. I am pleased to recommend this new book by Billingsley, Brownell, Israel, and Kamman as a tool new and veteran educators will deeply appreciate. Each chapter contains practical examples of evidence-based practices, easy to consume vignettes of sample students and their teachers, and bulleted lists of resources. The diversity of content in this book is impressive (appropriate for elementary, middle and high school levels), yet it is written in a very accessible manner tailor made for the busy teacher. In summary, you will not be disappointed with this book.

Excellent Reference Book.

This is an excellent reference book for a first year SPED teacher. It was really easy to follow and reference specific information. I think it will be really helpful through my first year. Had some great suggestions for communicating to parents and GenEd teachers. It also has tons of SPED website to find more information. I think it was well worth the money. I will try and do an update after using it my first year to comment on how often I used it.

5-stars for the stories, 3-stars for formatting

I bought this bundle as I didn't have any of these books in Kindle format yet and it was cheaper than buying each of the ebooks individually. At the current prices, you basically get Lord John and the Brotherhood of the Blade for free (well, you pay $0.02 for it). ;)

I give all the stories five stars, as they're amazing and well-structured. I enjoy Lord John immensely and he really gets to shine in his novellas and shorts. The Brotherhood of the Blade and The Scottish Prisoner are the standouts here, but each story gives us excellent background and insight to this complex character. I cannot praise the stories enough. As there are already thousands of reviews for the stories out there, I'll focus mainly on the formatting issue.

I give the formatting of this bundle three stars. As anyone familiar with this series already knows, Lord John and the Hand of Devils includes three short stories. Within The Hand of Devils, they're in chronological order. However, once you add Private Matter and Brotherhood of the Blade, they are not. This bundle would have been the perfect opportunity to put all these shorts and novellas in chronological order for the reader. Unfortunately, they chose not to do that, so those who do want to read the stories in order will have to go back and forth. There is no easy way to do this either. The main TOC lists the main titles only. You have to go to the Hand of Devils to get to that book's TOC to jump to the desired short. Still, I suppose it's better than having to leave one ebook entirely to go to three other ebooks, which is the only thing saving this format from getting 1-star.

Why Did I Wait So Long Before Reading This Great Series?

I have been reading Diana Gabaldon's books for over 15 years but somehow never read The Lord John Series. Needless to say, I really grew to love this character, his family, and friends. He has some great adventures and Diana really captures the time period in London and England with her marvelous descriptions of places and events. I now find myself anxiously awaiting another novel about Lord John Grey with the same eager anticipation I have for her Outlander series. Highly recommend!

What a great read !!! Sometimes a sequel can be a little blah...but Salt Redux is anything but. With all the favourite characters from Salt Bride making an appearance. Jane and Salt are faced with a threat that is devious and deranged and clever, while two sweethearts may get a precious second chance. The anticipation and intrigue hooks you from the get go and doesn't stop till the very end. Lucinda manages to grab your attention and wrap it round her little finger and Salt Redux is no exception. Well done Lucinda !!!

Several months ago, I downloaded Salt Bride, the prequel to Salt Redux. After reading it, I knew I was hooked forever on Lucinda Brant's style of writing. Because I have so very little free time, I choose very carefully how I spend it, and so I rarely read a book I don't already know will rate five stars. Since reading Salt Bride, I have read all of Ms. Brant's books and have marveled with each one at the incredible skill with which she writes. The plot of each is complex and intensely engaging. Salt Redux has lived up to the quality of its siblings and is a masterful sequel to Salt Bride. I found it every bit as ingenious, rich, and enjoyable.

Sir Anthony Templestowe has loved Lady Caroline for several years, and just when he might most have hoped to win her, his poor choices divide him from her, seemingly forever. I could hardly devour the pages fast enough to discover how the two of them overcome the profound obstacles that continue to divide them from each other. Ms. Brant employs great skill in composing the romance between Sir Anthony and Lady Caroline that is based on the truest sort of romantic love; they both care deeply for one another as well as having the keenest respect for one another. I highly recommend this outstanding historical romance set in Georgian England.

Perfect Ending

I was so happy that the author wrote this book... Often writers do not complete the ending. I often have unresolved questions about the charters. But Lucinda Brant answered all of my questions. Salt Redux was a great read. I feel in love with the charters in the first book. The author just continued with my interest in the second book. She completed the story with a good ending. I truly Loved this book. I could not put this book down. Great Job!!!!
