The book had so much potential but was so poorly developed

The story line was great... recent divorced, unsecured almost middle age woman, heartbroken after seen ex with new pregnant trophy wife, let gay friend rent her a pretend lover. So many opportunities for funny situations and shenanigans. Instead, the author wasted so much effort in unnecessary big dictionary words and unrealistic characters that did nothing to the basic story. She under developed the main characters own story and expended an unnecessary amount of pages in the lesser ones making them ridiculous and absurd. Instead of laughing and enjoying a good romantic comedy, I became annoyed and deceived by the author poor effort.
I was rather disappointed :o(

Don't expect much and you will be satisifed.

I was looking for a light-hearted, romantic comedy. What the book delivered was pathetic and undeveloped characters, an unbelievable story line and though it had a happily ever after ending, was quite dissatisfying. I only finished the book because I always finish just in case the book gets better. Didn't happen in this case.

great plots.. horrible writing.. lack of romance and humor

The plot cloudberry been great. So many, many opportunities for great humor but the author chose a really boring telling. The characters were bland and underwritten. The story rushed. And seems the author mostly wanted to flaunt they owned and could peruse a dictionary for plenty of needless "big words", but then there were so many errors it was hard to muddle through. Like changing Erics last name to porter in the book in one part. Obviously forgetting his name? Forgetting to add words like to, don't etc to sentences made it hard to not be irritating.
The book was pretty boring. Too many references to a number of classic books that really had no play in the book aside from a couple of characters names. It seems the author just wanted to "name drop" and otherwise it made no sense. There was room for a ton of romance, humor and wit.. But alas, it did not happen.
I don't recommend this book. Nor will I ever read any of the authors books, if there are any. It read more like.. A preteen wrote it. It was a wAste of money and time. There are far more better authors and books out there. I advise against reading this rushed and boring book.
